Corum, Admiral's Cup, 982-530-20-V785 AA32, Men's

The Corum Admiral's Cup is a very exclusive and strong timepiece inspired by the highly competitive sport of sailing. In 1960, three years after the inaugural Mumm Admiral's Cup race, Corum created the first Admiral's Cup watch: a square, water-resistant watch featuring a case-back engraved with the silhouette of a sailboat in a regatta and the name "Admiral's Cup," in tribute to the race. 

But the real story begins in 1983, when Corum awards the winners of the by now internationally renowned Champagne Mumm Admiral's Cup with its new Admiral's Cup model characterized by a dial decorated with nautical pennants that correspond with the international maritime code. This gesture marks the Swiss watchmaker's grand entry onto the international yachting scene. Jean-René Bannward, the son of Corum's founder, had a passion for the sport and even sponsored a boat and crew for several years. In 1987, Corum followed up on these promising beginnings by actually entering the world of sailing with its own boat, which went on to win the coveted Admiral's Cup trophy in 1991. The latter is now engraved in relief on the back of the case and sets the tone for the entire collection.
